The short version
You do not need a "good reason" to use this. Not the right sound, not the right DAW, project went in a different direction, or you simply changed your mind — all fine.
How to request a refund
- Email goasynth.support@gmail.com (or reply to your purchase receipt) from the address you bought with.
- Include your order reference — it is in the receipt email. If you cannot find it, tell us the date of purchase and the amount instead; we can look it up.
- That is all. You will get a confirmation, and we do not ask follow-up questions about why.
You can also use the refund or "return" option on your order in Lemon Squeezy's customer page, if it offers one — either route reaches the same place, and an email to us is never the wrong way to do it.
When the money arrives
We approve refunds within five working days of your request — in practice, usually the next working day. The refund is issued by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit can take a few further days to show on your statement; that part is outside our control.
If you paid by card, the refund may appear as coming from Lemon Squeezy rather than from GoaSynth, since they are the seller of record and process the payment. That is normal and not a partial refund sent by someone else.
Digital goods and the EU withdrawal right
If you are a consumer in the EU (or the UK, where similar rules apply), you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital content supplied immediately, a seller may ask you to consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal — usually with a checkbox at checkout.
We do not ask for that waiver. Our own policy is to refund inside 14 days unconditionally, which means the practical outcome is the same whether or not your statutory withdrawal right survives delivery. If you are uncertain which applies to you, use this policy: it is deliberately more generous.
What happens to your licence
When an order is refunded, the personal licence for that order ends: it covers the build, the updates and the support, and those are what is being paid for. We ask you to stop using the licensed build and, if it is no longer wanted, to remove it.
Your serial is cancelled with the refund. We mark it revoked in our own records, so it stops counting as a live licence and we will not transfer or support it. Because the plugin deliberately never contacts a server — that is exactly what makes activation offline and dongle-free — nothing can switch off a serial that is already installed on your computer, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. What we ask instead is simply that you honour the refund: stop using the build and delete it. That is a request for goodwill, not something we can or will enforce. If you later change your mind and buy it again, we restore the serial rather than pretend the earlier refund never happened — the licence is derived from your machine, so nothing about it is lost.
We will not pretend otherwise: because GoaSynth is also published under the AGPLv3, a refund cannot take back rights that licence already grants to anyone, and we are not going to ask you to sign something saying otherwise. This paragraph is a request for goodwill, not a threat.
If something is broken or misdescribed
Your rights if the plugin does not work as described are separate from this refund window and they last longer than 14 days. If GoaSynth does not install, does not load in your DAW, crashes persistently, or lacks a feature the product page claims, contact us — we will fix it, help you work around it, or refund you, even if the 14 days have passed.
Statutory consumer rights for defective digital content remain unaffected by anything on this page.
After 14 days
Outside the 14-day window we are not obliged to refund a purchase you simply no longer want, and we will normally decline. We may still refund at our discretion — for example if you bought the wrong product by genuine accident, or if a duplicate purchase was made in error. Just ask; we are not looking for reasons to say no.
Orders bought from third-party key resellers are not covered here: we never received that payment and cannot refund it. Those purchases should be resolved with the seller, and we would encourage you to avoid unofficial resellers, whose builds we cannot inspect or support.
Please talk to us before a chargeback
An email gets you a refund much faster than a card dispute, and without the paperwork for either of us. If something has gone wrong, tell us first and we will fix it or refund it.
